His songs were great, and should have been after working on them so long. Who knows -- maybe if he had had more time, his work on La Nicks' demos would have been better. But, he had about two years and had heard a few of them before. And, some came in a more fleshed out form than just her on a piano. Actually, the No Light demo (GB) was, I believe, just that - her on a piano -- and that IMO is the best song on SYW.

In the end, I wish they would collaborate instead of doing whatever they did on SYW.

You're confusing No Light and The Tower.

Yeah, he's got them confused.

"The Tower" was called "Goodbye Baby" on SYW.

"No Light" is what became "Planets Of the Universe" on TISL. In which case Stevie took a song that was simple, yet stunningly beautiful and turned it into sterile, electronic crap.

And - put an awful, "monotonal" ( ) vocal on it - though I do not mind the music.

Though, I have to say, the dance remixes were slammin'

The live version though

I hated that tour for her.

He's referring to Planets of the Universe.

It was John Shanks' magical touch that made POTU so great, and Lindsey himself admitted that to John and Stevie. Planets was modernized and made a little more mainstream, and it definately needed that kind of change, because the maxi-single went to number 1 on the dance charts, and the album version was Grammy nominated! I think Lindsey likes John's work, so maybe he would be the best choice for the producer of the Mac's new album. On the Destiny Rules documentary, I got the feeling that Lindsey wasn't too fond of Chris Lord-Alge.
