How was security about going to the stage? Was there a barrier at the stage? Did they search for cameras.

Thanks

Security was actually pretty nice. They allowed us to take a picture then asked to put the camera away. I was already in the front row, but it didn't seem like they let many people up for the Edge walk though. They did not search for cameras when we went in.

I was in section 400, which should have been rocking with people standing and rocking out, but a majority of the section was sitting down for a majority of the concert. WTF is up with that? They only stood during well known songs like Stand Back, Rhiannon, Edge.

In fact, the reason why I got "busted" by the security guy was because I was the only one standing in the section around me and it was really obvious I had a camera. I didn't know I was the only one standing by the way, so I took one for the team so to speak. winky I was totally zoned into Stevie and trying to hold the camera still. The guard did ask me nicely to put the camera away, so I just sat down and changed my view screen to the view finder to be less obvious and continued to tape the show from my seat when everyone was sitting. I was bold though and a rebel and again taped while standing if other people were standing around me and just tried to be as discrete as possible.

I have to go through the video and audio to see what came out and will post asap. I have some editing to do of the video.
The audio is one big file so I need to split it up. I hope it came out okay.

At the end of HAEWAFY, she asked that if we were to donate money, please donate/support to the USO. (not exact words, but paraphrasing here).

Right after Stand Back, Stevie mentioned about being in Canada before this show and was really proud to be an American and and happy to be back in America. (again not exact words, but paraphrasing here). Can't remember the exact words she said, but was something along those lines.

I got the entire Rhiannon because I wanted to record her higher vocals at the end, it was amazing (unicorns or not).
I don't have a problem with them because my attention was on Stevie.

I also taped the intros and her laugh when she made a joke about Jana being her other Sister in law.

I also got most of GDW I think. Hard to remember everything as it all passes by so quickly.

The graphic on the screen while waiting for the show to start was cool. It was a picture of a budidst/zen looking statue with a blue background.

My take on it from 15 rows back was that Stevie was having a blast and totally enjoying herself (especially during Rock and Roll). I also did not notice as much ear monitor fidgeting on her hip, but maybe that was because I was 15 rows back, not sure.

She let out a good wail during HSML that I think I missed on video Sad but sent a chill down my spine, it was so powerful.
The ending of HAEWAFY sent chills down my spine at how powerful Stevie's vocals can be. It filled the entire venue with such in intimate feeling and power with "connect...ion" WOW.

All in all, a great show, but disappointed in the crowd as a whole with my section mostly sitting. Sad
I mostly stood though during the whole show. Only sitting to try to tape as discretely as possible.

Sorry I am jumping around a lot but am typing this as my memories come to me.
I hope some other people were lucky to get good photos/video/ or audio as well.

Shandi, it was great meeting you right before the show, I hope you had a great time as well.

I am off now to take a much deserved nap.

-Sandy

Default I agree with Stephanie

Stevie and the band were on fire last night - I had a time.

I was lucky to score 5th row seats in section 400 yesterday morning online - so I hopped on the DC to AC bus express and made my way to Jersey...

My last experience with a Casino show was filled with people all around me yelling for me and others to sit down(some folks weren''t too nice in their asking..) As soon as Stevie came out blazing with Stand Back, I was bombarded with the "Sit Down" screams.. so I quickly made my way over to the right side of the stage, and found a great spot to stand and groove to Ms. Nicks, and that's what I did for the whole concert.. perfect space, as Stevie said, to be part of the band.. as a huge Stevie fan I was in my element..and not in any one's way. :-) I will say that this one guy kept asking security to make folks sit, but the security guy pretty much said they have a right to stand...:-)

The show was terrific, for the most part. Stand Back is a great opener, and I LOVED that 'Outside the Rain' is back in the setlist. I've always loved that song and how it merges into Dreams. I can't say I'm too crazy about "Crash" - it looks like Stevie really enjoys doing this song - but I was imagining "Rooms on Fire" or "Gypsy (like how she did it acoustically at one of the AHI show)s.. even "Sara" would have been nice.. It was the only part of the show that I drifted away from Stevie for just a bit.. she was cute 'hiking up her skirt.." but for me, the song seemed to kind of plod along..

On the other side, I really dug the Bob Seger "Promise" song.. her and the band really rocked and rolled it.. I loved the highway rolling along background.. Great performance. Although a cover, this track added to the experience..

Also, loved, loved, loved both Gold Dust Woman and How Still My Love.. Stevie and her capes (or shawls or whatever)... She just really wraps herself around these two and I find myself totally into all of her price glory... her strut off stage after HSML is priceless.

Edge rocked the place, as usual.. I noted that fans were gathering around me as soon as the song neared, hoping to rush the stage. (After last year's experience in Camden, I was staying right where I was).. some folks made it up, but some folks didn't due to security - there was this evil security woman who didn't like anyone taking pictures, and she positioned herself right in front of the passageway to Stevie pitdom.. she was not letting many through.. She was taking her job (and the little bit of power she thought she had) a little too serious.

During the Edge walk, one fan gave Stevie a wreath like thing with blue ribbons that Stevie put on her head and wore - she was beaming. I thought that was cool.. I also liked how she was a bit playful with her girl singers towards the end (I was near that side of the stage and it was fun to observe). And let me say, Stevie does really look beautiful for being 60.

I love how she closes with "Has Anyone.." When the piano introduction begins, the video screen is an image of the camera panning over rows and rows of white crosses (obviously soldier's graves)... and when she begins to sing ever so beautifully, images of our soldiers appear.. a very moving tribute. I love how she ends by wishing for our country to be at peace. A perfect way to end another wonderful concert by Stevie.

I really had a wonderful time - I may have to hike up to Jones Beach next Saturday night for the show - on the blue water..

about Atlantic City - I had about two hours before I caught my bus back to D.C. and as I walking around the Casino drinking a beer , proudly wearing my Stevie Nicks crystal visions tee (yep, had a few nice comments about the shirt) I realized not everyone had the perfect evening that I did. One guy was upset because he lost all of his tax rebate refund.. one guy was yelling at the ATM machine because it wouldn't give him any money.. and one woman was telling the cash advance teller to check her account again... I was happy to get back on the bus, put on my ipod to listen to a Stevie bootleg, and crawl into that wonderful peace that music takes you to.

I can't wait to see your photos Stephanie.. congratulations on being able to capture so many, as where I was standing, security was not being too kind to photographers..

and Torri, as always, good to see you again..

Oh, that does sound special and a rare thing for Stevie to do these days. That would have made a great photo. It sounds like Stevie's show is really hot right now and the energy is maintained venue after venue.

The way you described the crosses on the HAEWAFY video, I can tell it's moving.

Thanks for the review.

Thanks for posting the pics. Nothing wrong with them. What kind of camera do you have? Stevie does look good for being 60.

I can't believe security was so tight on Saturday. I went to The Borgata last year to see Stevie & it was on a Saturday. The crowd was way into her. Maybe because Chris Isaaks warmed up the crowd Everybody stood most of the time. So many people were taking pics that security had to let people take pictures. They let some people go up for Edge, but some they didn't (like me). But they weren't mean about it. They could only let a certain amount of people up there.
