Hi ~ and thanks for the welcome!

WoW - that is such a cool compliment(!) -- I did work up that image; I really enjoy posting graphics that I do, with the hopes that *someone* might enjoy and download them for their own collection.... I altered that familiar Dance image because I suspect that in the song Thrown Down, Stevie is specifically singing about Lindsey and her during The Dance tour in '97... I remember him making a comment about them getting back together in the '97 article in Rolling Stone, and Stevie saying something like, "not on your life!" I think that she was waiting in a way for Lindsey to "prove how he could be good for her," this time around...

*Anyway*, just MY interpretation, ... and thanks again for the kind words. I will add more graphics again, here and there ~ just for fun.

I recognize your name from Mick's message board... nice to see you hanging out here too.
Make yourself at home, and have fun!

(Oh! Almost forgot to say that I like your idea of a "special edition" release.)

Johnny Stew

Hey Johnny Stew,

Thanks so much for the warm welcome!! It's great to be recognized, as well! I'm pretty new to this - both posting on these boards, as well as connecting with *fellow* Mac fanatics -- I AM throughly enjoying myself...

JUST CAN'T WAIT for Spring time (!!!) - I am relieved to see so many other fans (like me) *this close* to rabid ...

Talk to you all soon, and take care!

Besides, if it's only a single CD, we always have each other and the Ledge for consolation!
Its the feast of the rabid, We're already crying over songs that we have not heard, and are afraid will not make the CD.

I see both sides, Quality vs Quantity - and all of us fan starved FM diehards who feel that they OWE us a double CD after so many years of neglect and excruciating lengths btwn releases....Afterall, this CD should have been out in '99 or 2000, If the record company really wanted to capitalize off of "The Dances" success....even Stevie's TISL was a long time coming by industy standards....

However, I suspect now it will be a corporate decision, and It is out of Fleetwood Mac's hands (unless they release this CD themselves) someone mentioned the ecomomy- this and more specifically the Record Industry steep decline in sales of late, will undoubtable be a deciding factor for Warner/Reprise.

I think we will be very lucky to see this CD be released as a double.

The music industry has been through alot of downsizing and management changes the last year, with most of them planning on ditching anywhere from 15-20 artists from their roster going into 2003

I was reading the latest RollingStone's article "2002's Music Biz Disaster' about a year of lay-offs, cutbacks and plunging sales....and the outlook for 2003 is no better"....
and reading this couldnt help but confirm my fears that we will see a single disc release (w/ I hope a minimum of 16 tracks!) I hope that I am wrong, I think FM turned in 23 songs they felt were worthy of release!, But Im also preparing myself, so not to be too disapointed.

Perhaps they will release a european version w/ extra tracks as Sheryl Crow did w C'mom C'mom...One way or another im hoping the diehards will get to hear the left off crumbs, ....., just not as quickly as we'd all like.

Yes, I agree, one way or another we will get the extra tracks. And yes, we feel we deserve the extra tracks (and we do) but undoubtedly the general public would think that many of the tracks were filler. How many double albums have you ever had that you like all the way through (outside of FM)?
Unfortunately the whole world doesn't crave as many possible songs that you could possibly squeeze out of the Mac and endless hours of conversation and dissection of every one of those songs (unless I've just got the wrong group of friends
)
So if a single disc sells well hopefully the record co. or whoever will see the $ potential of releasing a bonus CD!

You did nothing of the sort! *I wish* that was a pic of me (my avatar)! Believe it or not, that IS the stud known as Lindsey Buckingham! I got the pic from his official(??) site - the one with, you know, his name, and then a ".com" (not sure if we post other sites on here!)...

I also questioned whether it really is Lindsey - from what I can figure, it's Lindsey on a tour bus, and what I believe to be the Tusk /FM Live era. I love it. He does look rather young/old .... or should I say "timeless."

I've attached the full image for all to see ~ BTW, if there is one GOS song on the new album, let it be Down On Rodeo! Even though my screen name stands for one of the other demos, I am most anxious to see Rodeo make the album! It's just such a beautiful song. Great name, Joe!

Default Hey Josh

Props to 'Shuffle Riff' too! (Or as I've heard it may be named, 'Hit n Run'). That song and Down On Rodeo are my two favs - not just from GOS but of anything... I'd die of an overdose of happiness if we got two redone versions of those on the new album! (but I've grown to love Down On Rodeo so much I don't know if I could handle a reworked version!!)

Yeah that photo weirded me out cause I hadn't seen it before and the colour and quality of the pic seemed contemporary, plus he seemed too sort of well fleshed out for his somewhat anemic Tusk days!

It's not his official site, but it should be, and hopefully will be sometime soon. It actually belongs to and is run by a fellow Ledgie, SoulDrifter1949.

Go ahead and link to whatever site you want..! Marty and the Moderators are totally cool with it, unlike the administrators of other certain sites.

Welcome to The Ledge btw, and cool sig. line!
