It would be nice to have all the Fleetwood mac loose ends and rarities on one nice double or even triple CD

I imagine there are loads of extended version out there and different edits used in different formats in different countries

Its such a pain ;-)

I would love to have World In Harmony, Green Manalishi, Purple Dancer, and Dragonfly together on any single CD. I wish Warner/Reprise could put it out and it would fit between Then Play On and Kiln House albums nicely I think.

I would buy a B&N era FM b-sides and rarities album eventually I think, maybe they could put two or three versions of Silver Springs on it and some of the rumours outtakes and alternate versions. Oh if only I were record company God...

If you collect the Hollies you will find they had many 45 and super 45/mini 33 releases not collected on any album and some are their best work too. Maybe it is more an English thing?

Default B-sides

If FM ever released an album of B sides I'd be there to buy it in a heartbeat!! These are some of my favorite songs and I've never understood why some of the songs didn't make it onto the album.

For example, You and I Part I, Down Endless Street...isn't Goodbye Angel a B side to something, too? I don't know my singles well at all =:-(

As far as Fleetwood Mac is concerned, "Man Of The World"/"Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight", was one, "Green Manalishi"/"World In Harmony" was one, "Dragonfly"/"Purple Dancer" was another.
Very interesting indeed, I didn't know at all that non-album singles were released back then...! I know that there are some singles released nowadays which are not attached to any particular album but I can't think of any that didn't eventually end up on that artist's next album. Thanks for the info.
