Favorite and Least Favorite Christmas Songs

[Miss Vicky]

Favorites:

"Christmas All Over Again" Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" U2

"Little Drummer Boy" Bob Seger

"Carol of the Swells" The Malibooz

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" Band Aid

Least Favorites:

"Wonderful Christmas Time" Paul McCartney (Seriously, I hear this song and it makes me want to punch somebody. It's just an enragingly awful song.)

"Santa Baby" Madonna (Though I hate the original version, too.)

"The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot" (I don't know who did this one, but it's a depressing song about a boy whose parents are too poor to buy him gifts.)

I love almost every version of "O Holy Night" I've heard. I'm a sucker for Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" too.

It really wouldn't bother me in the least if I never heard "Dominic the Donkey" ever again. And while I used to like "Happy Christmas (War is Over)", I realized this Christmas that I was still sick of it from LAST Christmas.

As for Xmas songs I hate, I could go on for years. I hate a good 99% of them. I especially HAAAATE that wretched Paul McCartney tune - but then again, he is responsible for a lot of songs I can't stand. I hate that Christmas Shoes song. Yeah yeah, it's sad and all, but it's just plain awful musically.

Thanks! I didn't realize it was her.
