SYW: A Dud Album

I don't think the world would give new front people a chance... especially in concert, when the pressure is on to sing the Lindsey/Stevie/Christine hits.

And as far as SYW not having the vibe of the White Album, Rumours, and Tusk being a band effort... that's a given. It's also a given that it isn't coming back.

If the band vibe isnt coming back, then, to ChiliD's defense...go make solo records.

I can halfway stand behind that. I don't care if I never hear a new Stevie Nicks song ever again. But. If they did another round as Fleetwood Mac, that'd be just fine with me too.

This is my favorite band. I'm not going to sit here and say that I hope they never make a record as a band ever again. Even if the band vibe doesn't come back. Even a mediocre effort by Fleetwood Mac is better than a true effort by a lot of other groups. A couple weak spots don't cause me to say "SYW is a dud album". It's not a perfect album, but it's not crap either.

Yeah I'd much rather see a new Fleetwood Mac studio record...then a Lindsey record...then a Stevie record. But I find Lindsey's UTS to be more refreshing than SYW. So I kinda side with ChiliD's stance on that. I think if Stevie and Lindsey were to come together with new material, and start from the ground up, they could continue to do something amazing with Fleetwood Mac.
