I seriously need to get me one of those also. How much did you spend on it?

LOL, and now for something completely random. I was just listening to the radio and Mark Lennon from Venice was talking about how when he was young he could only do Fleetwood Mac covers of Stevie Nicks songs, because he had that really high nasal little boy's voice. He then proceeded to sing Dreams with that voice. Totally cracked me up.

it was a gift, so i'm not quite sure ... i think they spent around $140 on it, though.

and lol. poor stevie

ok, woot! i got it to work! it was so easy to do. here's the original IKINW: http://www.mediafire.com/?8thxe4f21so

and sarah - it does it as one big file, but with the program i'm using (audacity) it's not hard to split them up.

Thanks for this Carrie. IKINW is probably my all-time favourite Lindsey song. It's so stripped-down and catchy, I just love it.

I haven't used Audacity, but be careful when editing files that are already compressed, like MP3s. Most audio editing programs will recompress the resulting audio when you save it, so you'll get a worse quality sound file as a result. If you're recording from vinyl, save the original unedited file as uncompressed audio (e.g. WAV format) and then split it into individual tracks afterwards. If you only have a compressed source file (e.g. MP3) then you can use the freeware mp3DirectCut to split it without recompressing the output.

^ thanks for the info splitting the WAV file & then converting those individually into MP3 should avoid the re-compression issue, right?

Wow, thanks for all the info. I've noticed the connection with Not That Funny, especially the lines "here comes the nightime, looking for a little more...". That reminded me of Stevie sharing the "downstairs where the stars all laugh and shine" in both Blue Lamp and "Welcome to the Room, Sara".

The CD version sounds to me like one channel is the original mix while the other is a different mix, and they just sort of linked them together.

It's a brilliant song, i wasn't around in the 70's , im only 18. But I do own everything i could get my hands on.
Ive always heard the early versions of the song and i feel that another song could have been made from that.
It seems such a waste to not use it, it's on the demos version of Tusk and is called "Lindseys song #1"
Has anyone else got a view on this?

Im listening to the Vinyl version, I didn't know wither that there was a different version on the vinyl vs the cd version of the vinyl!! They should be allowed to do that! So i notioced no Stevie accompanying vocals, which i like.

Yes i also love this Lindsey song... i've never thought about my favourite Lindsey songs though,.... i know there is one of Mirage i like.... um um maybe empire state of eyes of the world, cant recall

Thanks for posting this, Carrie, I've never heard the vinyl version.

I gotta say I do prefer the CD version though.
