Thumbs up I paid...

$17.99 for my copy at "Hastings Entertainment", Well worth the price...BTW, Has anyone seen the new Dixie Chicks Limited Deluxe Version of their album "Home"? It has the Sheryl Crow remix of "Landslide" and an additional DVD with videos including "Landslide" which is cool...Brian J.

I received a DVD-player for Christmas, so I'm anxious to get that hooked up to the surround-sound system I have in my bedroom, and listen to the 'Rumours' DVD-Audio again.

Previously, I've only been able to listen to it thru our DVD player in the living room, and the only speakers its connected to, are the ones on the television.
Even *that* still sounds amazing, but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing it thru my stereo system.

Question ???

Can this in fact be played on ANY DVD player? I thought you still had to check for compatibility. I have a DVD/VCR combo unit, which means you get the basics of each unit i.e. no bells and whistles. I didn't think the DVD-As would be compatible on it, like I'm pretty sure VCDs can't be played on it. Any clarification our resident techno/audiophiles can offer would be greatly appreciated, because if it can be played on any DVD player, I'm gonna order it tomorrow!

A DVD-Audio can be played on any DVD system, (I bought the cheapest but a high quality system that can play Mp3's & jpeg discs and help mix music), So if I were you I would go buy the "Rumours DVD-A" as soon as possible...Brian J.

None of my other DVDs or DVD-Audio discs have had this problem! Not even my home theater expert friends can figure it out! Frustrating!

Other than that, it's a great presentation of what is perhaps the best rock album ever made
I have the same problem - no matter what settings I use on my DVD player (new Toshiba progressive-scan using the coax [bitstream] output) and receiver (Yamaha w/Dolby Digital decoder), the receiver automatically switches to Dolby -Surround- instead of Dolby -Digital-.
