Elvis Presley

[gypsysoul]

Thirty years since he died.

What are people's thoughts on the king?

One of my favorite Capricorns...

[JazmenFlowers]

absolutely the most famous person to come out of my state and surely changed the face of music forever.

[LiamMcConville]

He most certainly did change Rock music forever, continues to influence gaggles of singers and bands to this day, and I still manage to think he's awful.

Elvis is my all time favorite. I grew up listening to him and I saw him 4 times in Las Vegas at The Hilton when I was a kid. Ah, the good old days.

Miss him very dearly.

I thought I was your favorite Capricorn. But then so is Bowie.

Elvis is still cool. Love his version of Walk A Mile In My Shoes (Live).

I also will never tire of 'Suspicious Minds,' It's Now or Never.'

I think Elvis as a musician is highly overrated. He did record some incredible songs, but much of his work was not his own original material. However, he did completely change the look and sound of popular music and paved the way for much of what we listen to now, so for that he deserves his legendary status.

I agree. I was never a big fan of Elvis. However, he did change the music landscape in th 50's. I think of him now as more of an actor in cheap/silly movies.

I have an Elvis Tattoo and a Stevie Tattoo..

He'll always be the King of rock 'n roll to me. Died way too young.

Okay, I know you're great at posting pictures. Anyway we can get a glimpse of your Elvis and Stevie tattoos?

[danax6]

I stayed at the Hilton when I saw Stevie in Vegas last March, and really, I think he was there too.

I'm not a big fan or anything, more of a greatest hits fan, but there is no denying his influence on the world of music, for that he will always be remembered.
