I havent mentioned Bobby?!?!??
I met him at work - he's a complete doll. I might have talked him into going to ACL, so you can meet him then!

Jason is still in the picture. He's actually on his way over here now. I'm making dinner - Sylvia's fabulous pork chop recipe with spicy green beans and wild rice. And, of course, a heaping spoonful of applesauce!!

LMAO

Christina, one of my oldest and dearest friends, said that to me the other day. But I'll tell you what, I am having fun. I have 18 and 21 year old boys - hot boys - calling me up every weekend and I know that it wont always be this way, so I am going to take advantage of it while I can.
Life is good. I would be crazy to complain about a thing.

Well, I had a blast, but I do love musicals The accent was wierd, but John Travolta was awesome and funny. And the march scene!

I'm currently watching the original on ABC Family with Ricky Lake from the late 80s. Its fun too, but not as fun.

Saw it recently, and actually quite enjoyed it (although we were practically DEAF afterwards, as it was sooooo loud!..what is up with the cinema guy on the volume dial?) We were a bit surprised about how little people spoke (all the songs seemed to come at once, don't ya think?) but they were good songs and some of the dancing was fab...I like the black (can I say that?) guy, thought he was the best and JT was great too. Will def rent it again for a girls night in,(with all the popcorn and icecream.).

That's funny. I was watching too and it had the opposite effect on me. It made me love and appreciate the original so much more.

I agree. While the musical is great, it's really a whole other vehicle. I think the original John Waters film is hilarious. And what a sassy cast -- Debbie Harry, Sonny Bono, Pia Zadora, Ruth Brown, Rickie Lake! It's also the last movie that the legendary Divine made.
