I worry about you often! You do seem depressed alot. You nurses never take care of your own health. There are two types of bipolar, the one that is more famous where people get so manic they do insane things, and then there is Bipolar II, which is a depressed mood with spikes of moderate mania every so often. Hmm. I'm convinced my ex-roommate was an undiagnosed manic-depressive. For one thing, his mother had it, and was on meds for it (and it's genetic, you know). He definitely did crazy things - risky sexual behavior, buying things he couldn't afford ($1500 vacuum cleaners, trips to Europe) when he didn't even have a job. And then he would get so depressed that he wouldn't come out of his room for two days.

Anyway, Curtis, it's hard to tell just from message board posts. You do seem depressed at times, so I hope you're taking care of yourself.

Yes, it sounds like your ex-roommate was bipolar! It's so sad that people don't get treatment for the disease. I had a friend who finally got treated when she hit bottom, she tried to jump out of a car on the freeway while on vacation in CA because she thought people were after her. So crazy. But she is happy and well today after getting treatment!
