Speaking of X-Files - Random question: What was the episode with the hillbillys and the mother that had no arms and legs and lived on a skateboard under the bed? I have been trying to find it, cause I had nightmares about that episode for years - I now feel confident enough to watch it

You know, the first time I saw this episode was years and years ago, before internet, when I was still watching it on the BBC. The show came on rather late and I had school the next day, so I wasn't allowed to stay up and watch it. So I recorded it (on my Betamax! ) and got up an hour earlier in the morning to watch it before school. So there I was sitting at 5 am, watching Home, and I was scared crapless. When they pulled the mother from under the bed and she does her scary hissing thing, I actually screamed. Woke up the entire house. Ah...good times.

They are worth a thread. I was way into them from about 90-94. Bloodletting is a brilliant record. I am afraid Johnette lost the plot after Mexican Moon. Her writing output has very spotty quality after that. But what a set of pipes.

I had Bloodletting on cassette (why cassette? Don't remember) and I played it a lot. I had briefly moved back to LA, and her dusty dark cowgirl thing, well just the general aesthetic worked for me.

Have you heard Angela McCluskey?

What do you do if you're terrified of spiders and found that one has taken up long-term res in your closet? I have this ugly brown bastard that has been sitting in the corner for ages now. I'm talking a month here. He's still alive, but he doesn't move much. There's no food for him in there, unless you count the peanutbutter on the mousetrap.

Ugh. Go figure, I clean my ENTIRE closet, and leave one little web, thinking that whatever built it has moved on...

Vacuum with a long hose!
Quick!
Otherwise someday he won't be in that corner anymore, and you won't know where to find him

Eww. Ugh... I checked in the corner a few days ago, and thought it was gone. I didn't know whether to be relieved or scared because I had no idea where he was! I'm glad I don't have much in there, aside from old video games, shoes (eek, wait, those are precious!), and my bird's stuff. I've taken out her food so I don't have to go in there every day.

I should just suck that ****er up, shouldn't I? I wonder if it's the same spider I came eye to uh.. eyes? with a couple of months ago ( ). I tried to vacuum it up and it ran away.

Aw.. it's just a little ol' spider. He won't eat much.

Actually, I used to be afraid of 'em. My husband always had to get them for me. I remember when I first bought this house I'm in, and he was no longer around to get 'em for me, I had them EVERYWHERE!!! I tried to get 4 year old Sara to get one with a shoe for me. She wasn't having it. So I had to get him with a shoe... I've grown to be ok with them now.
