I don't know if anyone saw Katie Couric on the pregame show but her hair looked the same way. I wish I knew how to capture a screenshot of it and post it for you guys. The humidity with the drenching rain in Miami must have been hell for the hair and makeup people. I also noticed that Gloria Estefan just went ahead and pulled her hair back for her introduction of the Cirque Du Soleil.

Prince tore the joint up with Let's Get Crazy, Proud Mary (!) some Hendrix and closed with Purple Rain. If this is what his show at the Rio is like then I so want to go to it. He ****in' rocked, in the pouring rain no less. It was really kind of a cool effect for him to do Purple Rain in it. I was so afraid for his dancers because that stage was soaked. And I was worried about him ruining his guitars.

About f*cking time he mentioned her - he's been in Miami all week mentioning anyone even remotely famous.

Also - my fave "incidental" part of the video is the first "one man ... did not call" when a guy in the audience is raising his index finger, making the "1" sign in the lower right corner of the screen.

Perez always has nice things to say about Stevie though. Thank god! That website gets millions of hits a day. "Most" of the comments are good too.

You know, I watched the performance again, and she sold it. She even stayed in the higher range for the "so I went on down the road" part. I don't get all the grief being given for this performance. Was it her best - no -- but is that a solid B+ IMO.

I'm so confused by the new skirt. It's the same one she's been wearing lately, i.e. Tom Petty tour and Dec in Vegas, but it's not a standard handkerchief hem. It looks like it started out as one but may have turned out to be too long so she rolled up the hem and kinda tucked it underneath somehow. With staples maybe? I've done that with my jeans. It's just very wierd.

Love the jacket though.
