Anyway, I remember reading the Rolling Stone article over and over again and taping The Dance and also Behind the Music. So I searched on the internet, and as much as The Penguin has grown over the years, it was already the most thorough and best FM site IMO even back then. In a very short period of time, I learned just about all there is to know about the Buckingham/Nicks FM era from people on the Ledge as well as the other resources on The Penguin.
Back then Marty and Lis had a trade page with just about every audio/video tape you could imagine. That's where I got ahold of the majority of my videos. Sadly, after a while they shut it down because (and correct me if my memory is failing me), there was a big stink by some people about the tapes being traded. Lucky for me I had already gotten everything I wanted.
Anyway, I said all that to say that I think I started hanging out on The Ledge to get an idea of what was out there in the way of videos and then just kind of stuck around ever since...this year will mark my 10th year as a member. I probably didn't post anything for several months, and even then I bet I only posted a couple of times a year. I still don't post very often, but I read The Ledge daily and comment here and there. I still like it a lot; it's one of the few websites that I try to visit everyday.

your story is almost identical to mine...right down to how I got my hands on my first stash of demos and videos.
fyi, they took the boots off because they were petitioning to become the "official" FMac website...as I recall, at least...I could be wrong.
