lol, I know how to play but only vaguely. I can play melody lines, but I'm horrible at playing real songs (i.e. utilising both the left AND right side of the board).

Same! I can only really play with one hand, to be honest, lol. I definitely couldn't do a full on song.

My thing is that I start playing with one hand, then when I try to do something different with the other both hands play the same chords. it's kind of annoying, lol.

Dead how? I usually have a few entries here and there to read, but I guess I can kind of see what you're talking about.
