In the Tusk doc. outtakes, she goes into detail about the steam therapy (likely with eucalyptus or something like that) prior to the show. But, clearly in that performance, he voice is mostly dreadful in comparison.

I do love the way she dressed in that era. And what I wouldn't give to see those boots again!
