Pardon me, but is a snake down the side of your jeans, or are you just happy to see me?

I live in the smallest one-bedroom apartment in the country. Most would say it's a jr. one bedroom or a two room studio. It's a typical SF apartment with hardwood floors, bay window, high ceilings.

It's pretty minimalist, as I don't like having a lot of stuff. I have a beautiful brown leather sofa that I bought last year and a beige armchair. Since both are rather boring colors, I highlight with burgundy throws and pillows. I mainly decorate with orchids and framed photos, plus a few pieces of art that I've collected over the years.

My view is what I love most about my place. Here's a bad cellphone picture, but it is of the bay and part of Treasure Island.

I can do okay with all of the above. Flooring...I am thinking about trying to lay a hardwood floor in my closet this spring.

If I find myself out there, I am gonna find a way to drag Paula along.

I need you to be my bodyguard.
And to swap stories with, of course.

Yours is my favorite so far. I didn't know it was small. It sounds nice, though, I like the minimalist thing with splashes of color. My apartment is more like all color with splashes of neutral. It is small as well, except for my bathroom which is inexplicably huge and could make a nice little office. You know, if there wasn't a toilet in it? I'm kind of being shocked at how big a lot of these people's houses are. Where we live, those houses could be half a mil or more...

I have a rather large bathroom as well, which makes no sense given that the rest of the place is the size of a postage stamp. I'm glad it is a big bathroom, though, because I need room for the litter box.

I'm envious of you big bathroom folks...I'd kill for a huge bathroom - mine is so little. But it gets the job done.

My apartment has no real decoration theme...homey? I don't know...I do lean toward more neutral colors, I like Earth tones a lot...I live in an apartment so all the walls are white, which I HATE.

When my lease is closer to ending I'm going to look for a little house/cottage to rent...my friend's landlord is all about letting tenants paint etc...since I'm years away from buying that's gonna be the next best thing
