i think you made the right choice with the brown, esp. because of your dark hair - i think black might be too harsh.

what kind of underpinning are you doing on top?

i love suits!

It could be worn with nothing underneath, but I'm thinking I want to bring out the pink a little. Maybe a tight turtleneck or something.

no, I agree. brown is a good choice. especially with the pink stripes. I think that's actually better than black for you. I don't think boots will be any worse than anything else. let me look for some pics of what I'd suggest. hold them horsies.

not exactly like the shoe above, but you get the picture. more of a pump than a heel.

do not, under any circumstances, wear anything like this...

Jason, Jason- for the love of GOD do you really think I would wear anything like that last pair? I know I wore overalls a little longer than some, but please.

Actually, that second pair is the same as the pair ragandbone showed me [EDIT: No, it isn't]. I may have to go with that style- I can't afford to go buy a new pair of boots right now. Although that pair you showed is gorgeous.

I don't think you would, but since I can't hold your hand while you shop I must at least be mother hen and warn you.

i swear to god they are the exact same shoe she was wearing in the S4 ep "unruhe" when that crazy guy stabs her in the foot with the needle.

edit: oh snap, these are suede, but i'd say the resemblance is striking!

I hate her pants...I've been noticing the weird style more and more lately...and the resemblence of the shoes IS striking.

I think I love you.

Myself, I would have absolutely no problem at all with the knee high boot, but that is a personal style/preference thing. The rounded toe mid/heel is the probably the best option. But I love boots. I have more boots than God.

You could also probably do a cute flat with thick tights of the same color, but make sure the flat isn't so high-cut that there is no "toe cleavage."

Now, pointed toe heels can be worn with nude tights, since the pointy toe elongates the leg and it's rather slimming. I've got a pair of pointed toe stillettoes which I think I would die without.

Square toes bother me to an extent, but square heels? No thx.

Yeah, I know. I watch the Isaac Mizrahi show too much.
You guys are awesome. You have no idea how helpful you're being. I have dressed casual for so many years- I needed my Ledgie fashion divas to set me on the right path.

Oh, I love boots too. I *adore* boots. I just can't afford to go out and buy a nice brown pair right now! lol
