![]() How is it lame and pointless?
Just because the Rumours-era fans are the largest and most vocal fan-faction on the boards, doesn't mean that it's pointless and lame for us post-rumours fans to have our own say about the music. That's what this whole forum is for, so if you have a problem with that, stick to forums that better suit your interests and leave us alone. ![]() Last edited by Miss Vicky; 11-07-2006 at 09:02 AM.. |

Thanks and I totally agree with ya. I'm afraid too often the Rumours-era only fans FORGET what Fleetwood Mac is truly all about .... and that would be CHANGE!!! That's one of the things I like about it because heaven knows if they would have stayed with just the Rumours line-up (as much as I love them) they would have become too tired. ![]() The beauty of Fleetwood Mac is you can listen to everything throughout their career and still find something different to groove to. Trust me... I've been there when I say this.... as a reformed Rumours-era Only Fan.... y'all are missing out on some incredible material!! ![]()

![]() I dunno. I take very little stock in that fact. I've heard HORRID albums by people with the "legend" tag. In any event, that isn't what this poll is about. It's about the actual albums. At last check, both didn't sell well and are out of print. I only give BN an edge because they made the exact album they wanted to make, which was easy for a couple of unknowns in 1973.
But, in the 24 years between those albums, the music industry changed, making it harder for two second generation musicians, both former members of a band that had lost a lot of popularity to make an album that they actually WANTED to make. I think they came close, but I think they had to make more country than what they intended.

![]() In any case, all Steve was doing was (quite calmly) offering his opinion that the label of "legend" doesn't necessarily mean anything. |
