it's SO cool, eh? i saw them on letterman last week - i was sitting in the other room, and after listening for about a minute finally got up and went in to watch. they were THAT good. then i immediately went to itunes and downloaded "bad education." the next day, i downloaded the entire album. innovative and fresh is an understatement! so glad others know and love them!

how great is that? where did you hear of that group? (don't tell me - you're in it? i will bow down if you are) thanks for the link. "hide and seek" is one of my favourite imogen tunes (it was the song that started it all for me) - and the best thing? i'm going to see her this wednesday night! i saw her in may - and she's already back for another sold out show.

It's been a freakin' great year for music.

My top 3 albums of 2006:

1. Face the Promise - Bob Seger
2. Highway Companion - Tom Petty
3. Tie: Memphis in Manhattan - Billy Burnette & Under the Skin - Lindsey Buckingham

Favorite song of the year: toss up between Petty's "Saving Grace" and Burnette's "My Love Will Not Change"

My two favorite albums this year have been Sam's Town (by The Killers) and Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! (by Hellogoodbye).

I also hear that Cyndi's The Body Acoustic is supposed to be amazing. I still want to get that.

merf [she's the one who got me into them] went to the tilly show in north carolina the night they were on letterman [they had filmed that show on monday] and met them [they work their own merchandise booth]. apparently, the entire band was stoked that they were going to be on national television.

it's amazing. unfortunately, i'm not in that capella group nor am i in one here on campus or else we'd be trying out that song as well [our group blows]. perez hilton had the song on his site a while back and i made someone else harmonize with me after i heard it -- sounds good but doesn't work as well with two people. they do a really badass job though -- not sure it can even be topped. i really want to see imogen when she comes to philly. unfortunately, i don't think it's going to work out.
