What is your Halloween costume this year?

I'm always too cheap to buy candy to give to ANYONE

The worst year though - Halloween 1999 - a group of four teenagers came to our door after literally knocking over a group of kids- my brother in law started to close the door on them - two of them THREW themselves against the door to stop him from closing it - luckily my bro-in-law is a big guy - so he did get the door shut - we then called the cops becasue they kept banging on the door and DEMANDING candy.....

So as long as you're not doing that, Mary...more power to ya

Yeah - some people won't care...you may get flak from others - my sister, bro-in-law and I used to heckle the people who'd come to the door with a tiny baby trick-or-treating....you KNOW they're not doing it for the baby

What's your son going to be for Halloween?

Party pooper nothing, lady. I'm sorry but dressing up & walking around with your kids is one thing. An adult begging their neighbors for candy is quite another.

well, I'll be in costume so I doubt they'll know how old I am....and those that have an issue with it, wont give me anything

Listen, I love Halloween, it's my favorite holiday of the year. I decorate my house inside AND out and I don't even have kids. I buy candy every year to give to the kids, and this is the first year I haven't carved a pumpkin IN MY LIFE. I've had several great Halloween parties & I love to dress up in costume. I love haunted houses, and pumpkin farms. But I would never beg my neighbors for candy - it strikes me as tacky & rude. You can still be in the spirit of Halloween and you can still be a kid at heart without doing that.

Can we just agree to disagree? On Tuesday you'll go & grab as much loot as you can & I'll scream "hey, git off my porch, you old bastard" in my best granny voice and whack people with a broom or something. OK?
