I hope Lindsey gave the Bee Gees some credit in the royalties department.

I love Second Hand News. It's upbeat and lively and virtually impossible not to sing along with it. Plus, I love the "Why can't we just have sex and forget everything else?" vibe.

I think I remember him saying somewhere (at some point- the interviews become all mingled for me) that he was influenced by the Bee Gees' song Jive Talkin' (my favorite of theirs).

I actually love this song nd I remember bouncing around to it during gym class. Our gym teacher used to play it while we did "aerobics."

I'd rather not think of the tall grass as pubic hair. It should have been "short grass" in that case. I'm thinking it's the whole tall grass in a field having-nature-sex. Don't burst my bubble.

This is one of my top picks from Rumours, if not the top. It's energetic, naughty (yeah, I went there) and I like the idea of someone thinking, "You know...screw it. I'm just singing the guitar part!"

I have a copy of Lindsey doing this song by himself on the radio and it's one of my most listened to tracks.

It being the first on Rumours always said to me, "Lay down and hold on tight, I'm going to rock your world. The world's greatest lover is here." (Again with the naughty.)

As an aside, this is not a song to do at karaoke. That's my cautionary tale. Learn from my mistakes.

Yeah. I love doing that, too - difference being I don't have a guitar, whereas LB does.

I'm too busy being jealous you have that song at karaoke to possibly learn from anything.

So nice of Lindsey to think of those who can't play guitar!

To stray slightly off topic, my local karaoke joint that has a really good selection of FM songs - and Lindsey's songs. I don't think they have Go Insane, but they do have Soul Drifter and Countdown. I remain upset that they do not have Angel, but they do have Sugar Daddy. The selection takes a good third of the page...and it includes Second Hand News.

The rest of the joints I've been to...Dreams and Rhiannon.

For anyone in LA...the place is Boardwalk 11.

The "A" at the end, on "neeeeeews" CAN be hard to hit, especially if you're tired.

o.k. I had to bring this thread up because I completely forgot about this story

every year I go to Louisville in april for our state dental meeting. This particular year (about 7 ago ) I had just discovered fleetwood mac and bought Rumours. The friend who got me interested into the mac was going to the meeting with me and we listened to the cd the whole way down there. Well, I brought a stereo, and we listened to SHN over and over and over and over. She had never heard it and immediately liked it. I think we played that damn song until about 3 in the morning until the "neighbors" were banging on the wall, and eventually called the front desk on us
