I still think it's a good cd anyway...Believe it or not, I think this tour with Tom Petty really brought her popularity up and might happen to bring record sales up...I think the cd will do great...with a tour bringing in Nightbird

oh yeah, I agree.

and no one should usurp the fact that Crying In the Night is on the tracklist as well. that's a BIG thing.

Thats huge! Its just a bummer we are all going to have to buy two copies - the US version and the European version...

No offense meant to OohMissionary, but this tracklisting seems more like a fan's "wishlist" than anything. I can't imagine Rhino bothering to release different editions for the US and European markets.

If I'm ultimately proven wrong though, I'll gladly eat my chapeau.

How could I be offended? It's copied right off of the site...unless a fan has hacked into wea.com with their "wishlist" which seems highly unlikely.

I hope your chapeau doesn't give you indigestion.

The track listing looks a little bizarre for a holiday season release. So I'm a little weary of this, too. I just searched that WEA site inside out, couldn't find anything. But I would love to get that single remix of Crying in the Night on CD

I know this might be asking too much, but it would be really cool if one of these remixes ended up on radio. Stevie can really show her stuff to the world on The Nightmare. But of course, can you imagine if Crying In The Night was officially released to radio? That would be fabulous.

Actually Crying In The Night would make sense to promote since Lindsey is going on tour with his new CD and hopefully a FM tour in 2007.

I truly wonder if Stevie's new song about New Orleans will be on this since it got delayed so long. Gotta love how Stevie keeps us all guessing.

I want to believe you, trust me... but you seem to be the only one who's found this information so far. Could you possibly supply a more direct link than the general www.wea.com? Or, if it's something only available to premium members, perhaps a screen capture of the page that contains the info?

You have to.

I actually think it will be on there(the Katrina one). With songs from red Rocks 05 and Melbourne 06 and of course the hits.

YES, IT SHOULD BE! This is my pet peeve. So many artists with a large catalog have re released their albums with bonus tracks but nothing from Stevie. Why? Too busy touring, singing the same songs she's been singing for the last 25 years. I hate to say this but I'm gonna say it anyway: I think our girl has gotten lazy or perhaps uninspired or maybe a little of both.

Some things are out of Stevie's control. A record label will do what it wants to do, and really, a new Best Of is well overdue. Most people did not purchase the Enchated Box Set, so really, they are all listening to a 15 year old best of - which does not include some of the great songs from 1991 till now. I think it is a good idea. And if it includes the Buckingham Nicks track - it will be more of a complete look at Stevie's career. Basically, the label wants money...

I too want to see all of Stevie's back-catalogue re-released, remastered with a bonus disc of demo's/outtakes, but hey, atleast Stevie is doing something

Stevie can't control what the label thinks will sell. This looks like it will be a nice collection with all of her major hits (in their pop radio form) and enough rarities to make it hard for fans to resist.

The very label just released Ultimate Prince which did the same thing. They added in some remixes that hadn't been on CD before and the fans were forced to buy it.

This collection is far from complete, but with the most noteworthy recent singles and her very first single Crying In The Night making its CD debut (say it with me "from the legendary Buckingham Nicks album") I don't see how this could hurt.

Also keep in mind that Rhino almost *ALWAYS* precedes proper album remasters/reissues with a compilation. As a matter of fact, that's what happened with Fleetwood Mac.
