wow. I think you look very elegant and posh.

since we seem to be moving towards memoric pictures (I just made that word up, btw) - here's one that for sure brings back memories for me...this fan party I threw in Memphis was really special and a special time for me. it was my first time alone in a big city and I had 3 days there...lots of firsts that weekend.

anyway, here's the pic from the nicksfix and my writeup is under fan activities. I'm in the back in the blue tshirt. sorry it's a crappy picture...I didn't have a digital camera back then.

Well, thanks! Of course I didn't post any pictures in which I look like Hagatha, and there are plenty of those, believe me!
I should have said this is what I can look like. It isn't really a fair representation: I was at a party, and many of my friends are photographers, so you know, I am all made up, and they take good photos. Here is one that shows more how I look without as much makeup and primping, and the photographer is my 3-year old son. The only thing unusual here is that he framed the photo so well, and that I would never normally look so lovingly at a photographer.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Here I am this past weekend. The photo is an outtake from a pretty cool session I did with this photographer.

If they turn out cool - I'll post some!

Are you ever clothed during these photo shoots?

I don't know how to use photoshop. Don't you think I'd have made myself look better if I did? Seriously, I think we look great!

Maybe

Actually, this mostly was a head and neck shoot, but I did not want clothes in the shot.

But, while he was there, I thought why not try the whole body - those were not stellar and I need to go back to the gym

I love love love this pic. It's gorgeous. I am a huge fan of candid pics when they turn out, so natural & fun & beautiful, like they've captured a tiny magical moment in time.

This is glorious! Your son has quite and eye, hehe.

Like most women - you're so hard on yourself! Never forget all those famous pp you see in pics have had 2 hrs of hair and makeup! Also, every photo in a magazine has been retouched!

Not to mention an hour to set up the lighting (the most important thing) and then type of film (if any) used. Even the so called candids in people are retouched. The only time they are not is when they want you to look normal, and that usually is to insult you in the worst dressed or look who got fat sections.

So, it is an impossible standard.

On edit and for anyone interested:

Here is some info of how to use lighting in photography:

Right! I forgot about the lighting.

Check this site out to see what retouching does. http://glennferon.com/portfolio1/index.html Damn, the portfolio is under construction.

yep. even for those who are HOTT, they retouch them. a prime example is the promo poster for Step Up with the unbelievably gorgeous Channing Tatum...there is a side by side comparison of how they fixed his chin, he chest, his biceps...they don't know where to stop
