Loved Natalie's version of Landslide on Divas...but the sound guy really f*&@!* up Stevie's sound....how pitiful not to hear her on her own song!!!

The only part were you cant hear stevie is when they're doing the high notes because Stevie is singing so low you just cant hear her. But it was a very awsome version of Landslide.

I do think Stevie's mic was screwed up. On the "so take this love" part near the end, at first I thought maybe Stevie was having throat troubles again, but on a repeated listen, the mic crackles on and off. Plus, I'm wondering if Natalie could have upstaged her just a little bit more. She was so damn loud it wasn't even funny. But I think Stevie REALLY showed her talent on the Elvis tribute. Hell, she got into that more than her own songs. I especially loved the little knee kick she added in there. Great job Stevie, now get the album released cause I'm too impatient now!

And I think Natalie Maines drowned her out. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Landslide, but I don't like it turned into a country song, & I like it when Lindsay does it with Stevie better!

Was she even friggin' singing on Landslide!!!! You sure couldn't tell most of the time......yeah, Natalie was JUST a bit over-powering.......and I was definitely not happy (in fact, very upset) with the sound on that song, and that, on the part where she was actually singing by herself & you WOULD have been able to hear her, her mic seemed to have cut out!!!!! What's up with that!!!?? Actually, I noticed that the Dixie Chicks had some other sound problems when they were on stage, that I didn't notice with the other performers. So, Landslide, the way they did it, was good.....but I'm giving a thumbs-down because you couldn't even hear Stevie on her own song!!!

I'm even more cranky about it because the show ran like 7 minutes late....and wouldn't you know it, my VCR shut off right in the middle of STEVIE singing Wear My Ring!!! And I fell asleep watching those other boring people before she came back on....and woke up just as my VCR was shutting off......so I basically missed her singing by herself!!!!!!!!!!!

And VH1 would be re-running this when???

I don't think Stevie was the only one having sound problems, the duets seemed to bring up the sound issues the most, Cher with Cyndi had some sound issues and even Mary J. Blige w/ Whitney was inaudible at times as well as the Dixie Chicks...

it was the biggest venue yet for DIVAS so I think the sound technicians might not have been prepared.

While I'm at it, it was nice to see VH1 play the Silver Springs "video" (and I put video in " " because it's just the live version from The Dance) Thursday morning. I don't know if anyone caught it, but I always watch Jump Start if I am up in time, and I turned it on, I forget what song they played, but the next song was Silver Springs. It had to have been around 8:45, because I remembered I had to get ready for work and need to bathe, and just as I was about to go, it came on, and of course I had to stop and listen! So yeah, I was like, 5 minutes late for work, but oh well -- Stevie was on.

I tried calling you during the show, but it was busy....I completely agree!! I LOVED the version of Landslide....I thought it was precious.....but I was upset that you could barely hear Stevie on the parts with harmony....oh well....does this surprise anyone?? lol....Stevie always gets shafted in some way....lol.....great version of Elvis though....shes just so darn cute!!

Yeah, I know, you're right!!! Coincidently, I came home tonight, turned the tv on and what did I see......Stevie doing Elvis.....same place my VCR stopped at!! Tormenting me!!!

So they played the Silver Springs video, huh? Cool.
I missed it. I have Jump Start on every morning. What happened to the news ticker they had???? I saw that they were doing a Diva's videos thing, but I had to turn it off at 7:30 to go to work.
