Okay, back to me.

Well, I've only been to see her 3 times. She does seem to be starting to say more than that.

Number two, you need a new career, clearly. Have you ever taken one of those career aptitude tests ? They can be pretty illuminating. They kind of assess not only the bent of your natural talents, but what you enjoy. The first one I did in high school was spot on. If you do what you love, money usually comes, because it doesn't feel like work. You aren't too old to go back to school and start over, so do some investigating and go for it. You deserve to get what you want.

I've never done a career aptitude thing. Someone recommended the book "What Color Is Your Parachute?" but I have no idea if it's any good. I have thought seriously about going back to school, and think I probably will, but I need to figure out "what I want to do" first.

That's encouraging. Thanks.
RE: never having enough. That just isn't true for me. I don't care about having a lot of money or an extravagant lifestyle, I just don't want to have to slave away at a 9 to 5 job until I'm 70. There are other things I want to do with my time, namely artistic and spiritual pursuits.
