Why isn't the LA date listed on the Tompetty.com?

And, stupid question, but why is NOTHING posted at Nicksfix yet? I emailed John Kinney, hopefully he'll be able to tell me SOMETHING. These presales are starting really soon, and I'm not about to buy tix for a show out of town if she's not going to be there.

Greek? Los Angeles? That's an indoor theater.

Highway 1 is very slooooooow aaaaaaaaaall the way down the coaaaaaast, twisting, turning, winding, getting stuck behind a trailer, two lanes only. Traveling down the 5 from San Francisco to L.A. takes 6 to 7 hours alone, so Highway 1 takes at least twice that long.

I am, I am! But I always show respect to The Official Stevie Page because they do such a great job at ... all they do.

Now Pollstar is implying that Stevie won't be at all the shows:

Tom Recruits Some Friends
Updated 05:59 PDT Mon, Jul 10 2006
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have confirmed the third leg of their Highway Companions Tour, with The Strokes, John Mayer, and Frank Black sharing support duties.
Stevie Nicks, who joined Petty onstage as a "surprise" guest at the first eight shows of the tour, will appear at select shows throughout the summer as well.
As previously announced, the tour's second leg will run from July 29 through August 18 with opening duties spread between Trey Anastasio, The Allman Brothers Band, and The Derek Trucks Band.
The third round of shows will launch with two shows at Chicago's Charter One Pavilion September 14-15. The Strokes will open in Chicago as well as four amphitheatre shows in the South. Black will take over in Berkeley, Calif., September 29-30, followed by Mayer in Phoenix October 4.
Support is still TBA for a September 27 gig in San Diego.
The itinerary also includes a headlining slot for Petty at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas.
Petty and his band are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Petty's latest solo disc, Highway Companion, is due for a July 25 release.

101 is a nice compromise. 5 is ugly, 101 is pretty and you get some nice coastal views along the way.
