Question *** iTunes question ***

I've been using iTunes for a while now but I do prefer Real Player / Rhapsody. I seem to have gotten the hang of using them better for some reason. But my question is, is there a one step process that you can do to put all of the songs in your iTunes folders back to the actual volume setting when they were first imported or downloaded (purchased)? I'm not sure if I'm making any sense. You know how you can right click on any song and then click "get info". Well then you have several tabs, one of them being "Options" where you can adjust the volume level. It seems that the play back was always very low whenever I would just listen to the songs on the computer, so I pretty much set all of them at +100%. Well in doing so, when I burned a CD the input level was way to loud. I just want to know if there is one step to restore the original volume setting as opposed to going into each song and doing it.

Thanks in advance!

Travis

this is a great question and one I've wondered myself. global replaces or updates is something that I've wanted to know how to do. like, why can't you select certain songs and replace the artist name or album name all at once instead of having to either do it in the iTunes playlist window or through the get info tab.

hopefully someone has answers.

You sure can! It's easy.

EDIT: Oops. Not sure where the rest of my text went from my earlier post! Anyway. In iTunes, highlight your iTunes Library, then do a Select All (Mac:Apple+A or PC: Ctrl+A). This should highlight your entire library. Then, do Get Info (Mac: Apple+I or PC:Ctrl+I). A window comes up and you will see the Volume Adjustment. Then put a checkbox next to that and click OK. It will probably prompt to make sure you indeed wish to change all tracks.

This is with iTunes version 6.0.4 (although it may work with earlier versions as well).
