^^ That's addorable! It made me think of another tacky. Dogs with their nails painted. This seems to be very popular with poodles, especially with red.

Or dogs in little outfits. Poor Pups! They are dogs! not dressup dolls.

I find tacky things that generally start out as an individual expression and then turn into a mainstream sheep thing long past the time when they should have stopped. Then tattoo on the lower back - above butt- on women. Also too many piercings - the nose ones make me wonder what happens during cold season. Also Tattoos on the face. Unless you are a South Pacific Warrior of course.

No. You have to wear jewelry everywhere you can possibly do it. I have one I haven't taken off for a few years because my mom got it for me for my b-day. I LOVE toe rings, I think they are sooooo cute. I have long toes, so I'm always trying to make them look better. And yes, everyone, I like anklets as well. Although generally I make them myself out of beads, in nice natural-ey/crunchy colors...you know, summer with the natives and all that look. Silver and gold anklets not as much. And I agree, you don't wear anklets under pantyhose. Even if it isn't tacky, it's aesthetically displeasing. I hate that.

You would be a sad, sad, sad man if you lived here, or in Chico.

Nah, I think I am just an old, old, old, fart. What you think as cool in the 20's, doesn't seem that way when you are in your 40's.

But that wasn't in style when you were in your twenties, so that means you never liked it.
Also, a lot of older people here have piercings and tattoos. I mean, in their 40's.

I think there are tasteful ways to do them, and tacky ways. Tacky ways seem to be most prevalent.

Well, originally the people who got them were punkers, who obviously don't care what mainstream society thinks is "tasteful" or "tacky". And I'm sure many later piercees still don't care what certain portions of society would think is "tacky".

Really? In spring- and summertime, my flip-flops seem to be permanently attached to me. Unless I'm going to church/work/nice restaurant, my Rainbows practically don't leave my feet six months out of the year. I don't know, I just don't see anything wrong with it...unless you've got nasty feet/toes.

Kiss my short dumpy ass, you bitchy old queen.

I know you're right, but I wear them anyway.

What are Rainbows? Is that a gay thing? Wait, I don't think you're gay - are you? You must be, all the rest of the hot men on this board are. I don't mind if people wear nice leather thong sandals, but those $3 **** flip-flops from the drugstore should only be worn at the beach.

French pedi - eh. I had it done once for a wedding, but my toenails were not long. It looked nice, butI wouldn't do it regularly. And long toenails are f*cking gross. Ick.

BTW - you can clip them short & avoid ingrown toenails, just don't cut them really rounded, do more of a flat straight across cut. This hygiene tip brought to you by Paula Z, RN! :

i'm with you there - i wear six rings on my fingers every single day - and i have a toe ring. i love them all.

also - i look good in capris - and i'm only 5'5"!

and if i could afford a french pedicure/manicure on a regular basis, i'd do it more often than i do. i mostly do my own toes and fingers - but once a summer i splurge for a french pedicure. i agree with whoever said it looks clean and pretty.
