Caitlin, I dont know you but I can relate. I lost ALL my belongings when my husband deserted me. I was pregnant with a 4yr old and in a new town. didnt know anyone, didnt have a car or phone, didnt know anyone and my family all lived somewhere else. its tough. But, you will survive. you WILL.

I'm sorry to hear this, but remember, you do have your dad to live with, even if it means being without the internet. Not a lot of kids can say that. If internet access is that important to you, go to a library or something. Personally, I'd rather have somewhere to stay than not have a computer to use.

Well, she mentioned it as if it were really important, so I'm just saying that it's not the end of the world, she has options, etc.

Maybe, probably, who knows. I'm just looking at what she's mentioned, and that's the impression I got. I stopped looking deeper into things a long time ago, especially internet postings.

You may have a point....Ive just been a child advocate for too long I guess....
I hope everything is hunky dory.

and btw: if the internet is your ONLY social outlet, by GAWD it IS important. The lack of a computer to connect with cyber friends (who may also be real life friends we dont know) can be very devastating. I know that I go thru withdrawals when my phone line is not functioning....(pre-DSL) not being snarky. just saying....

WOW! I am so sorry!!!! I kno other ppl have had worse problems then me but this has neve rhappened to me before. I AM realted to my mom so i will survive
