Yeah - it's very easy to just open up a MySpace music profile and pretend you're Stevie Nicks. Personally I do find it creepy the people who open profiles saying they're here - this happens probably with all celbs - I know there are Dolly Parton pages like that...

Anyway, creeeeepy. And so far I don't think any unreleased stuff of Stevie's has been outed on MySpace, but there are a couple of Music profiles claiming to be her.

Now it would be one things if these people were up front with "this is a fan site" But there people out there claiming to actually BE her...that would creep me out too.

Personally, I agree that myspace is such a total waste of time, and its quite ridiculous the messages I get saying "Hey hottie, Im new to your area, and Im looking for someone to show me around!" I mean....get serious. There are weirdos that can look you up, true. It can be dangerous if you are dumb enough (or just dont know better) to let it. Still, I have one bc Im a college student who likes to procrastinate by adding stupid pointless stuff to it. Its kinda fun and I see Stevie's point is thinking that is does no good and allows for "evil". But my link is still in my sig! Ha! Although.... Facebook is my real addiction.

I personally don't have a blog on myspace.com. My brother will not get on myspace.com because he says, "it's for perverts & pedophilias". I was trying to get him to look at Alexa Ray Joel's (Billy's daughter) myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/alexarayjoel). So myspace can be used for useful purposes. I've also gotten on one other one. The DJs that I sometimes listen to on the radio in the afternoon have their own myspace page. So it's not all evil. I'm really surprised that Stevie knows what myspace is unless she heard it on the news. I didn't even think Stevie owned a computer.
