I was not poking fun at her weight. I never have and I never will. I was specifically talking about the size of her posterior.

But was her posterior large when she was skinny or has that only been the case since she gained weight?

And not to press the matter, because I really do like you and don't want to give the impression otherwise... but I think your "short and stout" sig pic could possibly be viewed as a dig at her weight. Given that "stout" is a synonym for "fat."

Either way, I think most straight boys like a gal with a big booty. More cushion for the pushin', so I've heard.

Yes. In my opinion, her rear end has always been large no matter what the size of the rest of her body.

On the other hand, those are the lyrics to the song.

but you're juxtaposing it with a picture of Stevie. Johnny Stew is right, there's a pattern there, and its not very complimentary toward Stevie.

I myself cant see that Stevie's rear end was large when she was thinner, I thought she was well proportioned

But it's not just any picture of Stevie. It's a picture of her doing those stupid "Say You Will" hand gestures which I have dubbed (and referred to in more than one post) the "Teapot dance" because it reminds me of the moves that go along with the children's song "I'm a Little Teapot."

"I'm little teapot, short and stout,
Here is my handle, here is my spout,
When I get all steamed up hear me shout,
Tip me over and pour me out."

my mistake.

It was a joke that I made in a couple of different threads, which several people seemed to appreciate. So, with the help of another Ledgie, I made a little picture for my sig to go along with it.

That's all.

Youre absolutely right: she was superbly proportioned & one of the most popular sex symbols in the country.

She had a great run.

She had a great everything. That was just one aspect of her many appeals. Was she ever a joy to watch.
Blame it on my wild heart.

And THAT'S the problem when you're a sex symbol. Eventually, age catches up with you. Then you're endlessly compared to that former sex symbol. And even Stevie finally realized that. Going on stage at 300 lbs was no longer an option.

300 pounds is not a healthy option for anyone, no matter who you are. Especially on a 5'1 frame.

you're not serious are you? She used to be REALLY petite, and I mean, all of her. Hmmm, maybe I need to pay closer attention to Stevie's behind to make a fair "ass"essment.

I've never received a mean PM. But then again, I really don't get ANY PMs so, whatever.

As far as making fun of Stevie's weight...I think it's in really poor taste. It aways makes me think of that interview where she said she would never go back onstage at that weight- that always makes me so sad! Because she's so much more than how much she weighs, to me. And if someone admittedly doesn't even really care for Stevie, I don't see the point of coming into a Stevie *FAN* forum and making derogatory statements about her.

That being said, I really couldn't give a **** about who wants to make fun of her. I don't get it, but I certainly wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Seriously?? I guess not. But only if we're being completely serious.

Anyway, I think Stevie is nicely voluptuous these days. She used to be too skinny, now she has a nice earth mother look (and feel I've heard!) to her. I think she's still a beauty. I hope I look that hot when I'm pushing 60 .
