Yes that's the Rumours Tour. That's the final eight or ten days, in fact, of that tour.

Problem is, Stevie's vocals were pretty drugged-out-drippy-doodle-woodle hinkie-dinkie-parlez-vous by that point. She sang as if she had a staf infection or an inflammation on her mouth or lip, trying to restrain motor movement out of pain or something. I think her tour doctor shot her mouth or jaw up full of painkiller, so she sang all her songs -- Rhiannon, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman -- like Gloria Grahame singing in Oklahoma & not moving her mouth.

But of course the band's playing was slinky & winky & kicky & dicky: the interspersal of FX on pianet with Gibson Les Paul with undulating, cobratastic bass line all created mystery & history & herstory & gory-wory.

Two different things here, strand. There's the December 5, 1977, show in Tokyo at the Budokan--Lindsey still shaggy. And there's the August 1978 Landover show--Lindsey cut off his shag (one year before the Tusk Tour).

I still call the 1978 tour like the 'extension' of the Rumours Tour. It would be a logistical mistake to consider it the Tusk Tour (which was still 14 months away).

How lame is this? I just got a new cell phone and am like GD whatever it comes too, I MUST have a kick ass SN ringtone (that stuff usually doesn't matter to me, but this new phones ringtones sucked...) so I find one. It's polyphonic, but because it's instrumental, it sounds pretty damn good. It's GDW ofcourse. Since then, I have had it majorly stuck in my head, and have been re-discovering all of my GDW versions. Currently the one I favor most is the HBO special Bella Donna era. Not as witchy and amazing live as several of her others, but she's sorta trance-like, and I like the delivery of it.
Hands down, best version though IMO is the Japan 77. LOVE that damn one. It is so amazing!!!!!! Anyway, that's my dumb "in the life of me" info for today.

I found a program a while back where you can upload songs and select the 10-15 second portion you want as your ringtone. I can't remember the name of the site, but go to the Stevie forum and search. I think it was 10 dollars for a year or something. It's awesome. I have tons of Stevie REAL music ringtones now.

the legacy tourdates are incomplete. Mac played New Orleans last. I saw a little bit of the video once a long time ago at Rob's apartment.
