No, but I did actually notice that happened last night. Stupid TV glitches. I wonder if they do this **** on purpose for more publicity.

For sure about being knocked down a notch. I'm really disappointed that he accepted credit for creativity that he wasn't actually due. He should have said LAST week that he was doing Live's version, just like he did when he talked about the Chili Peppers a few weeks ago. All along I've been saying that he's not original, but not having heard the Live song, last week I thought, "Okay, this is something new and it's good." I was impressed. Now I'm mad at him.

I won't be watching OR voting if they make them redo those performances.

that's how I feel.

you can listen to a 30 sec clip of Live's version on iTunes.

Chris never said that was his arrangement. People get their knickers in a knot too much.

I wonder that myself.

Several times the judges have complimented people, saying they know who they are & what they're good at. Then they tell them they need to branch out & try something different.

They tell Paris she acts too old, but then tell her her voice is really mature for her age. And I hate to break it to ya Paula, but the was she danced last night IS the way people her age are dancing.

First Taylor looks out of date, now they're dressing him up to be something he's not? Which is it?

Whatever. The judges serve no realy purpose anyway.

Bingo, Paula! This is what I've been saying (albeit in my head [

]) this whole season! Simon and Randy are walking contradictions and Paula has no backbone (surprise, surprise)

.

I think they are grooming Catherine to win.

It's possible that he did credit it but that was not included in the show. They're all doing covers so who cares. Maybe when complimented on the arrangement though he should have mentioned it. To me its been much ado about nothing.

Well I see your point. I think the difference is that everyone else sings covers in the way they are normally heard and he isn't. And the creativity/originality of that is something it appeared he had taken credit for...I agree with you and Travis that it's not a huge deal; just interesting. I guess what I look at is that he accepted Simon's compliment of "never compromising" as if it were his arrangement. I, personally, don't really care one way or the other, tho it does make me go "hmmm".

No, he didn't, but it would have been more open and respectful for him to have just said, "This week I'm doing Live's version of "I Walk the Line." But Suze is right, maybe they edited the part where he said it out of his little tape. I don't know, so I will try not to get my knickers TOO knotted.

I still feel bummed that he is still just copying all these bands though. He's good. He could give us more.

I read Chris did credit Live last week, but it was edited out.

omg. that's bull****. well, I guess I take back all I said except the fact that he needs to branch out a bit.

EDIT: on second thought, is the show not live?

I think it is live, but it might run on a few-second delay. I'm not really sure.
