Thanks, Guys. I just blew off some steam. I've been a member of another board (baseball oriented), for years, and I've had to deal with some painful snarkiness - so I guess I was fearful that I was running into that here. But you've all been swell.

Cliffdweller - I have adored the song "Angel" since the day it came out. The song is so understatedly sexy. I call it my Stevie strut song...it's just a tambourine shaking, boot stomping beauty with Lindsey's gorgeous background vocals and guitar licks floating on John McVie's bassline, which is just perfection...it gets under your skin. And Christine's keyboard just adds so much juiciness to that song. That's the song that personifies Stevie to me...like you want to be in her platforms and chiffon and singing that song - meanwhile everyone is loving you and just wants to be you.

Just saw the Tusk Documentary on youtube.com (thanks for the suggestion, guys!). I saw the part where it showed them recording the song - and those practice duets with Lindsey were just heartwrenching. They just soooooo need to be singing together. They were so beautiful together - at least muscially. Dang, I hate to be such a romantic (or a shipper? Not sure what that is -but I think there's a little of the in me), but despite their troubles, there was beaucoup chemistry between the two when he was at the piano. Damn all if he didn't love her then...and there is no way she wasn't taken by him at that moment. Also caught the part where they sang it on stage....love how Lindsey's hands just touched her with the rythmn.

During Angel, was it? I saw the full version of that for the first time this week. It sounds worse than it was. I thought it was really sweet! [Then again, maybe I just like the idea of Lindsey's roving hands. Ah well.] And the cute little "What on earth are you at you complete psycho " look Stevie gives him.

Yup! First his hand was on her ass, then around her shoulders, and then on her beret, and she just turned and looked at him like...you crazy, man. It was sweet, because I always thought he really despised her dduring this time. Yet, they seemed to find moments where they were on comfortable ground with each other.

I've got to find the dry humping one!!! And if the November 1979 Madison Square Garden performance exists on video - I'd love to find that too! I was there. Sadly, I was also disappointed in the performance. Stevie kept running off to change her outfit, and it was really annoying. The band seemed so deattached - not cohesive - like 5 individual solo artists - not a band. I think this was the performance where someone in the front row yelled to LB that he sold out. I didn't hear it...I was in the back of the arena! I remember Stevie wore high heel shoes - not boots - at one point. And then she kicked them off into the crowd.

I was just listening to this song on my iPod this morning on the train to work, and soooo related to it! I don't want to work! I want to play!

But I've really grown to love this song over the years...the harmonies are just so gorgeous.

I always did wonder how those shoes landed in the audience. But yeah - that is one memory that really sticks out - other than her constant wardrobe changes.

Sure do! It took me a while to get it, and I haven't listened to the second disc of outtakes as much. Although I love how they fiddle around with "Kiss and Run". Oh, I could just strangle them for not doing this song officially!! It sounded so good!

I was thrilled to see they released the original unedited version of "Sara". For those of us who have the original album on record - it's a travesty to see the "Hold on...the night is coming..." part totally scissored out of the CD version. Why do they always pick on Stevie's songs? Thank God the remaster has the original longer version - because it's either that or nothing for me.

Save Me a Place is such an underrated song. Even by me. I used to cherry pick my favorite songs off Tusk, and ignore that one. But I've just grown to appreciate those harmonies and the rhythmic guitar strumming. It's gorgeous.

I never liked SMAP until I saw the Largo 79 boot video - when Chris & LB are strumming guitars, and they are singing side by side along with Stevie - holy God. Those harmonies are so incredible, it makes my heart ache. Since then it's been a huge favorite of mine.

I'm a slow learner when it comes to liking SMAP. But that does sound kinda nice...

Umm, I think you're right. I do remember some really crazy hanky-panky going on on stage between those two! Can you just imagine that NOW??
