My bad P.I.T.A. Vinnie

Oiynge likes to sleep on my bathroom scale

Here's all of them

Here's my comforter which I love more than some of these cats, and less than others...

She went very peacefully, in my arms. I told her to go and be with Rebel (our other kitty that passed on a year ago) and Zachary (my family's beloved sheltie dog that we lost a few years ago).

After I got back into the car in the pet hospital's parking lot, I looked up and saw a sheltie dog, on the TV inside the hospital waiting room, right as I was telling my girlfriend that I told Punky to be with Zachary and Rebel. It was like a sign that Zachary was there, seeing that sheltie on the TV, right at that exact moment. I guess everything does happen for a reason.

Thank you all again for your kind words and thoughts. I know I did the right thing for Punky, as she was deteriorating rapidly when I came home from work last night. I'm just really going to miss her...

Oh my, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I posted at the same time as you, too.
I'm glad she went peacefully. That sheltie was totally a sign.

Jamie I'm also so sorry you had to let Punky go. I'm glad you were there for her and you found some comfort in her being with your other pets when she goes.

My Mufasa is having a bit of trouble peeing again, he is going drop by drop with a bit of blood, just a bit, so I am hopeful he won't have to go to the hospital again. I don't want to have to put him through that again so I want him to pass the crystals naturally this time. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I will also pray for Mufasa.

Thank you all for your condolences. I'm down to 2 kitties now, and this particular 2 never cared for each other much. But since Punky's been gone they have yet to have a fight. I definitely think they know Punky is now in another place. Maybe they've decided that now that Punky's not around to referee as she always did, to "just get along". Whatever the reason, I'm grateful.

On another note, my Mom told me as a child that animals talk to each other on Xmas Eve night. Whether true or not, it's a cute story. Have any of you heard that before?

Ah, Jamie, I'm so sorry. My sister-in-law had to do the same thing for her 16 year old cat on Thursday night. My poor niece is devastated - she's never known life without that cat!

On a humorous (well, I hope it stays humorous...) note, I came home from work yesterday & found a few things misplaced from under the tree. Actually, they were across the room & torn to shreds. Bubba. We've never had any problems with him doing this until recently, but it's obvious that I can't take any chances anymore with him out of his crate while we're out

So, I'm picking up the torn-up gift bag & I can't locate what was inside of it - a pair of Isotoner suede ladies driving gloves. I have looked everywhere, high & lo, in & out, up & down. I fear they ended up in his belly. The main reason I think this is they are GONE! I've looked litereally everywhere. The only reason I think they may not be inside of my bad boy is that there was literally NO evidence of these gloves being chewed/eaten/ripped up/ etc. There's just...nothing. No thread. No fuzz. No tiny black pieces of them. Nothing. Weird. Also, He's acting completely normal, not the slightest bit uncomfortable, eating & drinking & peeing & pooping fine & his belly's soft.

I'm so worried, Boxers are known for GI problems. Of course, they're also known for eating all kinds of stuff & passing it without a problem. Vet said not to worry, just watch him. I guess it's all I can do. Good thing we got my SIL a gift in addition to those gloves (which I would be way more upset about losing if I hadn't gotten them for only $4.50 ) I just hope that we don't end up at the doggy ER this weekend.

Hey, P - My mom just told me the story of a dog of hers that ate every shred and niblet of tons of gloves, except for the buckle. Every shred and niblet. So, your dog probably did have a nice christmas snack.

Well, he's OK - sort of. He's throwing up here & there, but still has a good appetite & is pooping. Acting totally normal. I took him to the vet yesterday & an xray showed that there is "somehing" in his stomach, but they can't really tell if it's the gloves or just undigested food. No intestinal obstruction, so that's great news.

The concern is that if it is just food - why is it sitting in his stomach for hours? The other day he puked up undigested food 6 hours after eating it. BUT if it is gloves - why haven't they been puked up too? Right now we're just watching him, he goes back in Thursday for another eval/xray.

Paula, I hope your dog is okay! It definitely sounds like he ate the gloves. Animals can be so bratty. Has he been spending more time alone lately? Sometimes they act up when this happens. "So you think you can just leave me, Mom? I'll show you!" They're such punks.

Here's my baby Yorkie, Mia. She's 3 and no I didn't get a Yorkie because Stevie has them (mine is much cuter btw ). I actually got her right before I got really into Stevie and had no idea at the time she had Yorkies. If I had been into Stevie then I definitely would have named my dog Stevie. I tried changing her name after 6 months but it didnt' work, she wouldn't respond. Just looked at me like I was crazy. "Stevie, Stevie, your new name is Stevie!"

Thanks. I went home on lunch & he seems fine - no more puke for now. Nothing changed recently to make him do this, so I really don't get it. Usually he'll just eat paper (magazines, envelopes, etc.) if he can get to it & he's mad we left him, but nothing like this before. He didn't act weird last year at Christmas, so I can't really blame the tree either.

Cute doggy, Sapphiresister!
