Alright, you've made me rethink my position. I DO like the band jamming on NTF. But I cannot take LB's howling. So, in the future, I will play the musical portions & skip the howling.

If you listen to NTF from 9.01.80, start at the 3:11 mark. The Mac is in jam heaven (for them). Pay close attention to what Mick is playing as well as the instrumental interplay between John & Lindsey (the way they mimic each other's riffs in varying octaves & the way they both toy with dynamics & funk licks) -- all of which occurs magically using only two chords throughout (the tonic & the dominant, with added sevenths to both)!

Also pay attention to around the 8:14 mark when the jam crescendos & Lindsey lets loose with sixteenths that just explode.

I like the Mirage tour version better for some reason, (maybe cos it's a real piano)...... i do like the chicken sounding guitar on the live album however

That August 1978 review was such a bummer. Poor Stevie. I mean, you can totally hear her voice crack, and notes cut short back then...But to blatently say, it just wasn't near as good as the album voice was...SLAM...Ouch...

Her '78 reviews were nearly all negative -- from slightly to overwhelmingly. She seemed bored to critics, although it's just about my favorite Stevie year with Fleetwood Mac (despite the fact I can plainly see & hear that she's a bit zonko).

But her 1977 reviews were about 50 percent negative & 50 percent positive, depending on the time of year (her nodes were going in & out of inflammation stage throughout 1977).

Her 1979/1980 reviews were measurably more than half positive, or mostly mixed.
