I know I was going to post on here about it.
To be honest I am not a huge soccer fan but it is always great to see our country do well it is the 1st time in 31 years and ironically the world cup then was also in Germany!

The World Cup is just incredible. Shame we just don't "get it" here in the U.S. I was in Bulgaria during the Cup in 1998 & it was awesome - everyone watched constantly, people would bring their TV's outside & sit on their patios watching, eating, drinking. Good times.

I know. Being German, I remember when my relatives were here in 1986 and watching Germany's team. It was alot of fun. Germany's always had good terams, I think they've won 2 or 3 world cups. In my opinion they're right behind Italy and Brazil.

Yup, I remember now. they lost it to Argentina in '86, then they won it in '90. I wish I could remember the one guy one the team then, he was really good and he had long curly hair?

I think the second name. BTW, whats your take on the whole Diego Maradona situation? It's too bad he had to get involved in the nose candy isnt it?

yeah, but on the other hand, it's another juicy part of the story of a simple poor kid that became a bigger than life-legend. it fits.
