OMG! The Talking Heads scene is my fav. (as I already indicated)...I so want an animation of when she cleans up the house and cat is playing with the little peanut things in the air!

I enjoyed the movie. I went in knowing it would be stupid. But sometimes, I must admit, I'm actually in the mood for stupid, mindless comedy. Going into it with that attitude, I enjoyed it.

My favorite scene was the fight scene between the different news teams. It cracked me up!

But if you like it that's awesome!

I did not find it amusing in the least. I may have smirked at one or two places, mostly from Steve Carroll or whatever the feck his name is ("Loud noises!!")...but otherwise, I thought it was a worthless piece of dreck. Sorry

yup.

I prefer movies with substance (well...I do like the Goonies...that's an exception)

I actually just bought this on DVD like last week. But yes, I think it's a hilarious movie. I remember seeing it in theaters and laughing my ass off. When I watch it on DVD, it isn't so funny. Hm, who knows. Still love it though!

Actually it was and it wasn't predictable either.

It's a parody of what 70's television news was like.

I thought it was funny, but not a must see, over and over again, classic comedy, imo...however, the Afternoon Delight scene is friggin' hilarious!

I think that's a good distinction, and that is one of the pitfalls of a movie like Anchorman. It's focused so much on its improvisational technique, that the "substance" of the film kind of gets lost. It's kind of form over function in that way. Of course, the best improv should really give you both.

I'm not understanding of his humor either. His comedy is cliche...
