Jeremy Spencer-snubs his kids

[bretonbanquet]

I can just about see his point - he might also feel that the lyric is directed at him personally. I'm sure he's been around long enough not to let something like that bother him in the long run though, they are his kids after all - maybe after a while he'll lighten up a bit

As has been suggested, God wouldn't have been overjoyed at some of the things Jeremy used to get up to in his younger days either, so what's the difference?

Well I'm guessing Jeremy has fully "repented" for his past transgressions again the lord.

Yeah, I forgot - God doesn't care what you do as long as you apologise for it afterwards

I think it's sad.

Me, too. But also bizarre. And inflexible. And douchebaggish. I mean, C'MON! Your own kids? Over some song lyrics? Retardo.

Not really. That cult really did a number on him and he's still heavily involved with them. I'm sure he holds some resentment towards his children from breaking free from it, too.

I think it is, too. But it's also unsurprising, considering his past with Children of God and how he's all kinds of ****ed up.

Yeah, but I'm suprised he's still as crazy as he was. I didn't know he was still so crazy. Did you know? I thought, like many other people from then, that he would have outgrown the crazy.
Especially where his kids are involved.
Weird, no?
I mean, how can such a good guitarist be so crazy still? It defies logic.

Oh, get real. Musical talent doesn't say anything about your character/personality.

Anyway, I feel for his children. Not just over this, but also for growing up in that cult.

Well... yeah. What the hell would be the point otherwise?
