George Takei Comes Out

[Jyqm]

I wish I were a Star Trek fan so I could come up with some witty follow-up joke. All I got are bad double entendres about "boldly going" and "beaming up."

(Seriously, though, I applaud Mr. Takei's courage.)

[markolas]

You're stealing my thunder.

Someone on another board I post on came up with this winner:

Set phasers to FABULOUS!!

So I thought I'd steal it.

No problem, I merged it with this one.

Eh...honestly, I wasn't that shocked. He always seemed a little gay to me. I think it's great that he came out, though.

Hmmmm, when you put it THAT way, it makes me think that he was put up to it by the Bush Administration to avert attention from their f***-ups.

Hehe... I thought they would come out with a terror alert... but I guess this works.

Everyone should do the Sulu Dance in support of George Takei's earthshattering revelation.

You can dance like Sulu "hello"
And shake your little behind "yes"
You've gotta give it a chance when you do the sulu and dance and you're friends will say "oh my"
I say, jump around if you want to and move your arms like a machine "yes"
If you do the sulu dance while wearing tight pants some people may call you "a queen"
