I understand your point, but was that any part of the original complaint about It? ("It" refers to r.g.)
I dunno, you all can talk about it if you want, obviously, I just didn't think it was the point of r.g..
It certainly wasn't my point about why I didn't like it, and thought it was creepy, and weird, and why I didn't find it funny.
Carry on.

It is kind of creepy to me to think there is a Ledgie out there (or a lurker who knows a lot about us) that mosts under rose.gypsy, a known past troll to insult people.

oh SNAPS to you!!!!!!

I think it is the same thing - but people are loathe to see it because their churches are telling them it is not. Such hatred is sad.

Wow, hats off to you. Very logical and fast thinking. And, eff her, you can say whatever you want.

That was actually an excellent way to handle the situation.

I wasn't weighing in on anything other than Nancy's comment that the person is "obviously" a misguided liberal trying to make conservatives look bad.

Beyond that, it's obvious that whomever "rose.gypsy" is, liberal or conservative, they have way too much time on their hands. And if they were somehow trying to be funny... well, they'd better not quit their day-job (assuming they have one).

Althea ran for office again last year. It made for some very funny reading in the Globe and the Herald. She wrote letters to them on a constant basis, my favorite being the one where she wanted a sign put up on her street that read "Slow Down, Old Folks Crossing." She later amended it to "seniors." She hosted many Bush/Cheney block parties, too. I think they sucked out her brain cells when they snipped off her penis, personally.

That is that whole - the R's are the party with the classier people - if I vote with them maybe they'll invite me to their mansion on Beacon Hill for tea, when in reality the situation is outside of some $1,000 a plate luncheon, there is likely no way any private invitation will be issued.

Jesus would be proud. As others have said, prejudice is prejudice no matter how you slice it.

"Obvious" in that an analysis of the rhetoric betrays it as parody rather quickly.

Er, I feel like I'm the big white elephant everyone is talking about here. I was the one engaging rose.gypsy on the other board - but I can assure you all I never for a second thought she/he was serious. Nor was I being serious. I was laughing my ass off. I'm sorry if my engaging "it" was seen as negative against anyone here. I certainly didn't mean it that way. As I mentioned to someone afterwards, I had no inkling of the backstory on this troll (and yes, I certainly knew it was a troll); I was simply reading a thread as it unfolded, and for some reason, decided to bite. I rarely do when it's so obviously a troll. I didn't mean harm to anyone. I apologized and I apologize again. But honestly, I was reading it as A) someone so obviously either faking it, or B) wildly ignorant and misinformed. Sometimes I just feel the need to call someone on what they're saying, and that's what I did with gypsy.rose. As you may have noticed, she/he conveniently neglected to answer the posts where I asked for proof of what she/he was saying.

By the way, I do have an idea who gypsy.rose is. But whether I am right or not makes no difference. If I'd known the backstory, I wouldn't have engaged. Again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
