Ric Ocasek--new album "Nexterday"

[mylittledemon]

I could not find this CD anywhere...found it at Barnes and Noble. I asked this cute indie girl if they had it, and she said "Whos Ric Ocasek?" Fair enough...I said, well he's the lead singer of The Cars. I got another blank stare. I was like WTF? Anyway...

the album is not bad. Ocasek's voice is still sounding the same. I really like "Bet Your Bottom Dollar" which is track #2, its very "Cars-y". The last song "It Gets Crazy" is cool too.

Hey, I really like the Cars - what's the band work sound like, aside from the one Cars-y song? That was a lot of the greatness of the Cars is why I'm asking. Crap, now I totally want to put that on. Thank you! Cars <3.

Ocasek is cool...I think he plays all of the instruments, or most of them on the album.

uh, that wasn't very descriptive, and told me nothing about how it sounds, but that's cool.

Sorry babe I was jerkinnn................uh..........drinking a soda.

ANyway...uh the album is very flangey...lots of guitar hooks. Probably the closest thing to the "Cars" sound he's done in awhile.

Oh, I dunno, maybe not to pause and check the ledge while you're in the middle of your "soda" and maybe not attempt to type at such a time, either? I mean, i know I'm hot, but still.
