I think she's talking about the way seagulls and blackbirds sqwawk and make lots of noise...that seems to fit into "have fun tell the world..."

I can't believe I'm saying this but that Jane master version is amazing! I actually like it. It could be possibe that I like it because there is such a disparity between it and the original which we all know is not too great but I am really impressed with this piano version. I actually may listen to it a few more times. I can't believe the other version made the album over this. This sounds like a decent song and the piano is so pretty I can overlook some of the awful lyrics.

Really? I think the piano makes it sound amateurish. And that vocal just drones on. She sounds like she's singing it as she's getting a pedicure because she's already read through People twice and there's nothing better to do.

The master reel version of Greta is quite fabulous, though. Not a big fan of the song, but that version lends it a better sense of fun and frolic instead of the half-baked attempt at ersatz new wave that's on the album. Mindless fluff that is quite aurally pleasing, it is.

I was totally waiting for you to see that! I so thought of you this morning Jason when I was listening to it in the car on the way to work. The sad part is the album version just doesn't do it justice. If this is the version that had been put on the album I bet a lot more people would like the song. Now instead of the forgotten chimpanzee Jane is the forgotten song

I don't know, I like the album version better. It builds up to the bridge and then really drives it home while the demo is more linear and (dare I say it) a little boring.

Although I do love the RAL demo. I wish there was a better version of it. I've only ever heard the one that sounds like it had been transferred from several cassettes recorded at very low volume so it's full of tape hiss.

A little late getting to this thread...back to "Maybe Love..."

While I like this demo, I prefer the SA version...mainly because the demo sounds like it's "solo Stevie"; whereas, the album version sounds more "Fleetwood Mac-ish". And, I'll take FMac over solo sounds ANYTIME.
