the Red Sox have to win tomorrow (Coupled with an Indians loss) to advance to the wild-card...Otherwise their season is over.

they would be tied....But MLB didnt want to see a 3 way tie (Which could have happened if all 3 teams had finished with identical records) for the Wild Card between the Yanks, RedSox & Indians, So today's game was basically to see who would be the AL East champs.

The Red Sox are left with little options:

"Because of the Indians' loss, the defending World Series champions can do no worse than a tie for the AL wild card - news that got a medium-sized cheer when it was announced on the Fenway scoreboard.

If Boston loses on Sunday and Cleveland wins, they will meet at Fenway Park on Monday to decide the AL's last playoff berth. If Cleveland loses on Sunday, the Red Sox get the wild-card berth no matter what they do."

The Red Sox need the Indians to lose tomorrow, Simple as it gets....Or otherwise it makes their World Series win seem somewhat a fluke.

Hee hee, that is what my friend and I call them. Then of course there is:
A- Rod
A-Hole

I can't take credit for that one. I saw that on a t-shirt last year in the North End of Boston.
I also snapped this one last year.
