This is definitely happening, I heard a commercial for it on KGSR today.

Austin will celebrate Lance Armstrong's seventh Tour de France victory on Oct. 2 in Zilker Park with a free concert by Armstrong's fiancee, Sheryl Crow, according to the singer's Web site.

"Sheryl and her band perform a free concert in part to thank the City of Austin for the incredible support that her future husband has received over the years. He has been proud to call Austin his home, and Sheryl is proud to be part of the celebration," the Web site says.

Additional information was not immediately available from the city.

Oct. 2 marks the 11th anniversary of Armstrong's cancer diagnosis.

They've moved it to Auditorium Shores, where most outdoor concerts are held, except for the ACL Fest in Zilker. There's also some cross-country bike ride, from LA to DC, which is being re-routed through Austin to coincide w/ this event.
