I did not get that he scoffed - I thought he was speechless and cut away out of mercy. But, to each their own.

BTW - Harry Connick if so impressive. He has done so much for these people. If you have any extra cash, he is spearheading the Habitat for Humanity effort in NOLA. I know it is needed and I feel he, as a beloved and loving native son, will make sure it is put to good use.

SPOILER -- VERY GRAPHIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My brother saw a woman miscarry in line rather than lose her and her unborn child's place in line to get to evacuate to food, water, and medicine . The poor woman was so famished and weak, she did not understand what was going on until the child died in her arms. She then put her 6 month or so bloody and limp child/fetus in a plastic bag. Her husband had to be carried onto the bus. My brother could not stand after that - who could.

I hope you are sobbing - I am too. Damn anyone who caused that. FIVE FU**ING DAYS caused that and how is that for perspective.
How can this happen in our country? I can't comprehend it. I don't understand how these beautiful people can be left to die and suffer. Don't worry, because in the end, there will be a reckoning and those responsible for this travesty will pay for it. I loathe to say it, but this is worse than 9/11 because it's our own country who murdered these people by their complete disregard for them. There can be no forgiveness.

Monstrous. That poor woman and her husband. So unreal I had to read three times to understand what you were saying. I'm sorry your brother had to see that. Oh man, this is the worst thing to ever happen here. How will that woman go on? I'm so angry, I want Brown's head. It's just going to get worse. Are people's stories being published anywhere? I want to read those, even though they are heartbreaking, because people have to know.

I thought he was as cold as ice. He went after the poor man when it came to persecuting the mayor and the governor, yet had no response when the man bared his soul to him.

Connick Jr. is a saint. What a beautiful man. I gave to HFH after seeing him on Larry King because I had completely forgotten about them.

It took him 30 minutes to tell me the story and he is not that emotional a person. As sick as this is, I wish they could have filmed it (though rumor is someone did) and then play it at the Congressional hearing. Better yet - mail it to Hannity for perspective.

There is that and then also the death toll may be 3x as great. Let's hope not.

I don't even know what to say to that. Your brother must be very strong. I think I would lose the ability to do other things besides standing. Horrible.

I.........no comment yet.
What's so wrong about his entire investigation is that others have been pressuring to have an independent commission formed to investigate what went wrong, just like the 9/11 commission, and he said no because he didn't want to "place blame." Now, a day later, he's heading an investigation into how his federal government f*cked up. It's a mockery.

There is more - she was wearing her already filthy clothing that she had to put back on afterward and wear for at least six hours to Houston and then who knows how long.

Words fail me.

Yes, he should see that. Then the image should haunt him forever.

They're now saying to prepare for 40,000 altogether. Who knows how accurate it is, but that's what they're saying.

I really can't think of any words for that, either.

Reminds me of the mothers who are being handed two diapers and being told to scrape them off and reuse them once they get soiled.

If that's not genocide, I don't know what is. Where did that number come from? Oh god...

I am sure this poor woman would have licked that soiled diaper clean instead of what happened.

I am so angry right now I cannot type.
