Moreover, we all use oil - so we all have a little guilt there as well, i.e. no demand = no tankers
I just read an article yesterday that all the big carmakers are destroying their electric powered cars, once their leases are up...they apparently arent selling well enuff to warrant their continued production and since parts will be too scarce, the industry answer is to destroy. Enter an electric truck owner from CA who sued to keep his car, and after some nail biting, the home company decided it would sell remaining cars/trucks to CA owners at $1 each.

I guess they are going to now concentrate on the gas/electric hybrids instead. too bad really...

oh and last week I heard a local community radion station interview with a man who runs a bio-fuel co-op and sells this bio fuel at prices comparable to diesel, and also shows people how to make their own bio-fuel in 50gal batches. pretty interesting stuff....I guess you can buy this bio-fuel at specially marked stations around the country, it goes into diesel vehicles at either 100% bio, or 50/50 mix of diesel/bio-fuel.

both of these are steps in the right direction...
