Many people really love this song and there is a reason, it is brilliant. I wonder if those who dont get it are listening with an open mind?

I'm willing to bet that does go on here often enough, but from what I know about those two, I have to say that I don't think they're being insincere. I think they really can't bring themselves to like the song and were trying to explain why they don't like it. I would probably be doing the same thing if people continued to tell me that I'm crazy for not liking a song.

We're not baiting, we just don't like it. Also, the thread is called "Like or Dislike Sable on Blond" which leaves room for all opinions. I'm glad people like it a lot, I just don't get it. To me the song is "ok". Before you accuse us of baiting, or not listening with an open mind, you should realize that most people on here like songs others don't like as much. It's the natural way.

Okay... I listened to it...

I have to say the lyrics are very, very spectacular.
The backing vocals are good... the opening is kind of cheesy...
The drumming is way cool.
It sounds just like another song... and I'm tired right now... so I can't think. lol
I'm pretty sure it sounds just like a mac song... but I'm lost right now.

Overall, it's good, but kind of simplistic.
I could learn to love it.

Thanks for going ahead and listening to it. I have to agree with the "Dreams" comparison. I also think that "Outside the Rain" sounds a lot like "Dreams" (and SOB).

I realize the thread is called like or dislike. It is not called Like or Dislike and if you dislike go on and on about it, I mean we get it you dont like it. I guess I feel like some are trying to rain on our parade (those of us who think its ultimate Stevie material) I just dont get the continued negativity.

Oh and its nothing personal, really, im sure you are a very charming individual and I do value a diverse perpective in all things.

Well it is called like or dislike, yes. It isn't called If you like it go on and on about how great it is, and if you dislike it shut up. I love the song personally, but I can see how some wouldn't. I didn't like it for years. In fact it just hit me recently how great it is. It doesn't bother me if people don't like it. To each there own.

It also isn't called "if you like it, go on and on about it." They have just as much right to express their dislike as you and I do to express our love for it. If I dislike a song and there's a discussion going on about it, I'll say whatever I feel like saying about it as often as I see fit. Same goes for if I love another song greatly. This place would be duller than bathwater if we all had to bite our tongues about what we liked and didn't like. I, personally, enjoy discussing a song I like with others who don't like it; it's much more interesting than a bunch of people gushing over it without original thoughts and opinions to bounce off of each other.

The drumming is very cool. I was thinking that earlier when I was listening to it. I love the opening drums....but yes, the opening vocals are a bit on the cheesy side.
