My cat won't drink out of a bowl. No matter how clean it is. He would rather drink from the toilet or get in the tub and lick up drips of water after someone takes a shower. Kinda gross, but what can you do?

My cats don't do the toilet. They do, however, both drink from the same water bowl despite the fact that they each have their own.

The dog doesn't bother with the toilet either, but lately if I go out & leave him out of his crate he grabs the TP & unrolls it all the way into the living room.

My cats a sink cat. So then, of course I have to go in there to turn the sink water on for him. Then off. Sometimes I see him drinking from the new water dish I got them, I put in filtered water, and it's the kind that replaces....
The siamese was a toilet drinker, and Oyenge, I've caught her in the tub...

I think they like the toilets because the water is cooler, maybe? I don't know. My mom actually has a picture of me from when I was about 3 and I was sitting on the potty and our cat, Tom, was behind me drinking out of the toilet. It's a cute picture, though.

It didn't bother me either. Cats lick their bums anyway.

Playing with the tub toys is probably super cute! Mufy jumps in the tub when we are done showering. He loves water!

My cat hates water. My daughter pulled him into the tub the other night. He likes to sit on the side of the tub while she takes a bath. Very brave cat He flipped out when she put him in the water with her. And he looked like a little rat when he came out all wet!

I once had a cat who loved water when I was little. He would get in the tub, and I would take the removable shower head, spray him, soap him up and rinse him off. People thought that was amazing that he would let me do that.

I house-sat for some people in San Jose, CA one summer - and they had this obese cat I had to put on a diet plan lol.

Anyway -his name was Wumpus and he was the funniest fat bastard. LOVED playing in the toilet - preferably after getting into lots of dirt - so that he'd make nice muddy paw prints all over the bathroom - it sucked when I'd forget to leave the toilet lid closed - Wumpus would have a ball.

Poor fat cat - I got him to the point where he could again fit through his cat door - and jump on counters etc...then he moved to NM and ran off one night - I think he was eaten by coyotes...

That's my main cat experience - that summer was hell with my allergies though - but I couldn't pass up a free house in California - even if it was in San Jose

Poor Wumpus! Love that name, though!

Violet loves the water too. Our house in FL had a pool, and I would actually take her in the pool with me. I'd hold her the whole time, but she loved it. She also loved fetching leaves, frogs and lizards out of the pool.

I think cat anuses are the grossest thing on earth. Well, I'm sure there are grosser things, but I kinda throw up a little bit when I look at a cat's anus. And you can't help but look at them either, 'cause they stick their tails way up as they walk over you and ZING, there it is, THEIR DAMN ANUS!!!

Why is it any grosser than a dog's? We had a lab-sheppard mix who licked his butt constantly. His anal glands needed to be "expressed" a lot. It was the foulest smell ever. Ten times worse than the litter box.
(Such a lovely topic!)

Yeah, the anal glands thing is pretty gross about dogs! But dog anuses are far less gross looking for whatever reason to me.

I don't think I could ever agree with that. I can still hear Barney waking me up in the middle of the night with "slurp, slurp." Ick!

Oh my gosh! So cute! I could totally get a dog. I'd like to have a Boston terrier, I think. King Charles spaniels are cute, too. My sister-in-law just put money down on a boxer puppy, and I can't wait to see it. But I'm still more of a cat person!
